The transformed pig styes

Spring has gone and now we are back to winter. I am still hobbling but riding doesn't hurt my hip so I was hoisted onto Dream this morning and Georgia was on Red. We went up the all weather and as Dream is still not quite sound I just went up twice and Red went up three times- she had the tongue tie on and went really well.
Dove went for a fast hack and Georgia took Frog in the school for a bit of flat work. Frog was very fresh and so nearly reared over backwards - very close. We can't both be crocked up at this stage in the season. Frog went really well in the end and has put on some weight since her holiday.
Because the weather was so foul I spent the rest of the day in the office - Equine Fitness is really busy at the moment with a lot of heart monitors and Stay Cold Boots going out. Doug couldn't do any Greener Pastures work so he got a bit more of the stable block done - we can't call them 'pig styes' any more - far too posh!
Dove and Red are both entered for the Oakley on Sunday. Dove won her maiden there by a distance and Red just missed out winning there by a nostril last season so we know they both like the track. I will start whittling and worrying now......
My hip isn't getting better as quickly as I would like and is still really painful. It is making me grumpy so I am going to bed.
