Yippeee - not only did Dove start the race with the others but actually won. She jumped like a stag and won easily. It was such a relief as there was a really long delay after we had been called into the paddock as the medics hadn't arrived and we thought she would boil over. Will had to jump the first fence with no irons to make sure she jumped off and although there was a slight hesitation, once she got going she was brilliant and loved it.
She has been a real challenge, and even if that turns out to be her last start we really feel as though we have achieved something getting her back on the track.
There was a big celebration afterwards and still feeling slightly jaded............

- Pauline has been race riding her own horses in point to points for 15 years and is now training with Doug. Pauline has recently got her trainers permit. They are both passionate about National Hunt racing and achieving maximum potential from their horses in the best possible way. This is why ‘Equine Fitness’ is a very exciting new business for them. In 2006 Doug eventually plucked up the courage (it only took 7 years!) to propose to Pauline whilst they were on holiday in the Maldives and they married in the Lake District in June 2007.
