Jay has now come back from London and this evening we all went out for a ride - Doug on Frog, me on Dream and Jay on our new purchase 'Harry' - he was advertised on a point to point web-site as 'free to a good home' as 'Harry' didn't get on too well racing and had a couple of falls. I ended up paying a little for him as it makes life a lot simpler if you own the horse rather than 'borrow' it. He is only seven so the penny could drop yet. Anyway, he has turned out to be a really lovely ride and 100% in every way. Jay isn't at all experienced and yet he was beautifully behaved yet nicely forward going. The other two went very well - Dream's shoulder seems to have healed and Frog was a lot calmer. Jay was really appreciative of the countryside and the green fields. She had been really looking forward to riding again while she was away and wasn't at all disappointed. We have just had supper and she is cleaning the kitchen!! I can thoroughly recommend sending them off on a gap year - she's a different person. Not sure how long it will last though....
