Just a few photos of The Royal Welsh. Doug thought his Father would like the photo of the 'rain saving' idea which the Exhibitors were terribly proud of - it was no bigger than a child's paddling pool - coming from the outback of Australia where every drop of rain is conserved Doug was somewhat surprised and not at all impressed by their 'ingenious' idea...

Unfortunately, or perhaps just as well, I didn't take my camera with me in the evenings, so I haven't got any incriminating photos of the various parties that were held in the cattle lines. Needless to say, the English lost the singing contest again. Knowing that they didn't stand a chance they didn't try very hard to win.... One in particular wore a ginger wig and sang in Welsh with a tape recording playing in his ear-piece. He was doing quite well until the tape got stuck!The funniest thing was how seriously the Welsh took it, not realising that the English were just taking the mickey.
