St Anton - Austria

Have returned from the skiing trip - great fun with a fantastic group of people, although its not like a holiday at all, more like an endurance test. The Apres Ski was unbelievable with the Moosewirt Bar and the Krazy kangaroo being the favourites.
I was sidelined for a couple of days as I had a crashing fall and pulled a muscle in my back, was just recovering and then tried to run in my ski boots and felt my calf muscle go ping. Rather annoying as the snow was really good towards the end of the week. Austria was beautiful and the natives seemed much friendlier than the French. On the last day because of my painful calf muscle and as I couldn't ski very well I went for a 'hobble' on one of the walking tracks. It was actually rather nice to get away from the hectic ski slopes and in perfect silence really appreciate the magnificence of the majestic mountains. Truly stunning.
