Spring is in the air..

Great week-end with a 40th on Friday night and a 21st last night - Really good to catch up with friends and seriously good fun. Jay came back for the 21st so lovely to see her again.

She has been very pro-active at university protesting over the plans to build a big hotel on an historic wild flower meadow near Canterbury. She organised a peaceful protest where three hundred people turned up and let off lanterns - they were huge, so she had to contact the fire brigade, aviation authority and the police before it could happen and it turned into a really successful night with a lot of coverage from the newspapers - I'm not sure exactly how much work she has been doing in the meantime, but she assures me that she will catch up this month...

Leon has still got a lot of pus coming out of his foot but he's no where near as lame as he was yesterday.

It was beautiful spring like weather today and so lovely to have time to catch up in the garden. The trees that Doug and Will planted are just beginning to show some life. They will look stunning when they are all in full leaf.
