Incredible racing at this time of year with massive fields - Dancer came fourth out of thirteen in a ridiculously fast restricted - Bearing in mind that we knew the track wouldn't suit her as it isn't a stayers track we were really pleased and she ran on very well at the end. Ponty had cheek pieces on for the first time and Pete said that he was hard on the bridle when unfortunately he tried to jump the road crossing just before the open ditch and wasn't paying attention to what was in front of him and fell. He then got up and jumped every fence on his own without a pilot beautifully, so at least he wasn't put off jumping which is normally his forte. Pete, thank goodness, was fine.
It was a beautiful day and everyone joined us for a picnic afterwards. Both horses and jockeys home safe so a really great day.
We just have Rosie tomorrow at Chaddesley. Could be interesting............
