Hard frost this morning but apparently it is going to warm up a bit tomorrow so it looks as though racing will be on. Gulp. I always get really nervous with the first runner so in a way it will be nice to get it out the way. Scruffy, (Exclusive Rights) needs to have a run as she has become a bit of a handful at home and she needs to know what it is all about. Fingers crossed she will come home safe and sound.
I was on a Nuffield coaching course yesterday in Shropshire and left Doug in charge of the yard and it sounds as though he did a great job with all the horses working really well.
Goody and Ponty went to Ben Brain's (the vet) to see if they needed a wind operation as they both sound a bit 'thick in the wind' on the gallops and he said they did so they both had a soft palate operation yesterday afternoon and came home today. They tucked into their tea and seem absolutely fine. They will be back in full work in two weeks time.
