It's Christmas Eve and we have just had our staff lunch in the Carpenters Arms where Marge did us proud. It was also Lucy's birthday, so a double celebration. All the horses worked really well this morning and are going to have the day off in the field tomorrow.
We are just off to the carol service at Priors Hardwick and then to the Butchers Arms for mulled wine. As a surprise for Doug (as the Butchers is his very favourite place) I have also booked him in for supper As we had to bring in all the horses at least we should have worked up an appetite by then.
Anyway, must go and get ready.
