All horses worked really well today and we just about managed to dodge the wintry showers. The entries have been made for the weekend and weather permitting Out of Range (Harry) and View the Dance are running at Horseheath on Sunday. At this stage we are thinking of running Don't Budge Me and possibly Velvet Cloud at Cottenham on  Saturday 7th February and on the 8th we are hoping to run Dr Kingsley (Jake), Ponty Pandy, Endofdiscussion, Intimate Whisper, Val D'Auberge (Dug) and Sea Rock at Whitfield.
That is going to be a very busy day.

A little contribution to the drop pot today..... and Pete will be furious with me for reporting this. We took King of Angels (Elvis) who is Peter Bennett's second horse and has been around all the big national hunt courses into the menage for a little pop. As he hasn't been with us for very long Pete Mann asked Doug if he had jumped in the school before and Doug said "Yes" (with his fingers crossed behind his back) Pete trotted him up to the tyres and sure enough Elvis stopped dead and Pete flew over his head and landed in the sand to hoots of laughter. He was not amused as it is his first fall of the season and for that to happen over a two foot tyre jump is somewhat embarrassing!!

We are hoping to take Budge and Jake to Lambourn tomorrow for a pre race prep run.
