We have just got back from Larkhill. A seriously good days racing and as AGA Dave had invited us to join him for the sponsors lunch it was rather nice not to be freezing cold too. There were a lot of runners and very competitive racing, with once again Paul Nichols and Whaley Cohens horses taking most of the prizes.However, it was lovely to see Joan Johnson (Max Kendrick on board) having a very good winner in the second division of the restricted and also Fred Hutsby (Tom Ellis) having a very impressive winner in the maiden Great for our local trainers to beat the big boys!

- Pauline has been race riding her own horses in point to points for 15 years and is now training with Doug. Pauline has recently got her trainers permit. They are both passionate about National Hunt racing and achieving maximum potential from their horses in the best possible way. This is why ‘Equine Fitness’ is a very exciting new business for them. In 2006 Doug eventually plucked up the courage (it only took 7 years!) to propose to Pauline whilst they were on holiday in the Maldives and they married in the Lake District in June 2007.
