Cottenham has been cancelled. Such a shame as it looked as though there was going to be some high class racing but they had no choice as the frost wasn't coming out of the ground quickly enough
We have decided to go to Newbury races instead and are on our way I can't wait to see. Sire De Grugy in the flesh.
I can't believe I forgot to mention the contributions to the drop pot yesterday during our disastrous schooling session on the all weather. Both Peter and Billy (Aprahamian) fell off when Jake stopped dead at the fence and Endo ducked out to the side. Happy days- our end of season party is looking better by the day!
Needless to say though Doug was not a happy bunny as Jake can easily have his confidence dented and he wanted everything to be perfect for his run tomorrow so he got Toby and Peter to come in this morning to have a pop. Luckily the ground had thawed out just enough to go up the hurdles once which both Jake and Jess did perfectly, thankfully putting both Doug and Jake in a much better frame of mind. All set for Brocklesby now where we have decided not to run Out of Range (Harry) as the going will be heavy but we will be running him next Saturday instead at the rescheduled Horseheath meeting. We are just taking Sea Rock and Dr K weather permitting.
Great to see England playing so well yesterday evening in the Six Nations against Wales. They looked as though they were going to get a severe thrashing when they were 10-0 down, but the way they came back after half time was a huge credit to their coach, Stuart Lancaster, and to their grit, courage and maturity as a team.
