We are on our way back from Leicester where Popaway proved the point that two miles on a flat track is too sharp for her. She jumped well but the pace was unrelenting and in my opinion her optimum distance is two miles five furlongs. She also may need to have her wind done again as she made a bit of a noise. I also thought she looked a bit burly in the paddock so she will have come on from the run as she blew quite a lot afterwards. She is a difficult horse to train as she finds everything so easy at home so needs to race to get her fit. Most importantly she is in the lorry safe and sound and there to fight another day.
Tomorrow we are running Cloud, Goody (Lady Barfad), and Harry (Out of Range). The plan with Harry is to try and get him placed in the Red Mills Intermediate as then he will qualify for the hunter chase evening at Cheltenham which is our target with him as we think he will love it there.
On Sunday we are running We Never Give Up (Jess) and Val D'Auberge (Dug) at Garthorpe.

Back home now and looking forward to a quiet night in after the excesses of the last few days!
