It has been another very wet week and consequently very difficult to know which horses are running where. I had doubled entered everything and during the week we walked Guilsborough on Wednesday (soft with heavy patches) Mollington on Thursday (Soft with 'splashy' patches!) and Andover this evening (Yippee - good, with just a small good to soft bit) The downside with Andover is that it is a fairly technical jumping course, with four big downhill fences, so we wouldn't take young inexperienced horses there, so our final plan is to take Rock and Pixie tomorrow to Mollington to see how the ground is riding and maybe give them a run if we are happy with the conditions. Rock is in a two and a half mile race so it wont be as testing and Pixie (Answer Quick) can only go on soft ground because of leg problems in her past, but doesn't want it too testing for her first time out. On Sunday we are taking Jess (We Never Give Up) Budge, Dancer and Popaway to Andoversford, although we have also entered Popaway for Southwell on Friday, so it depends on the entries and the ground for that race., Oh, what a headache, but thank goodness we have found some good ground somewhere and can at least get a decent run into a few of them.
