Great weekend. We went to Newbury on Saturday for the Hennessey Gold Cup and had the privilege of watching Thistlecrack win the Novice Chase hard on the bridle and jumping like a bunny. We then saw Native River win the Hennessey with Carole's Destiny a fast finishing and impressive runner up. Today we went to Cottenham and it was fantastic to be back pointing and catching up with the lovely down to earth point to point people. Great racing but very fast with all races being sub six minutes. Home now and about to have a roast pork dinner which has been slow cooking in the aga all day. Mmmmmmm. Must go!

- Pauline has been race riding her own horses in point to points for 15 years and is now training with Doug. Pauline has recently got her trainers permit. They are both passionate about National Hunt racing and achieving maximum potential from their horses in the best possible way. This is why ‘Equine Fitness’ is a very exciting new business for them. In 2006 Doug eventually plucked up the courage (it only took 7 years!) to propose to Pauline whilst they were on holiday in the Maldives and they married in the Lake District in June 2007.
