Scott rode beautifully and nursed and encouraged Budge home to come sixth out of twelve. He was in an incredibly hot race and there was a fair bit of pushing and shoving happening which would normally have Budge shrinking into himself, but although he lost his position he then came back and jumped the last fence as well as he jumped the first. He will be going back to a restricted race next time which will be much better for him as he will be at the right level and will have increased in confidence and fitness. Scott came back grinning from ear to ear and is already looking forward to his next race. It is Paddy's turn next week on Jess (We Never Give Up) at Cottenham. Hopefully Paddy can do a clear round too..
