We went to Mollington but didn't run anything as the ground wouldn't have suited any of them. it was soft and very sticky but brilliant that the meeting went ahead. Well done to the North Warwickshire team and Ken Hutsby for getting it going as it showed Thorpe and Whitfield how things can be done even with adverse conditions, We took Tic, Pixie and Rock in the lorry and it was great for all three to go to a meeting but not actually run.
Lovely to see my Velvet Royale win the restricted. I bought her as a wild foal in Ireland and we trained her to win her maiden. She is related to Royal Auclair so I knew she would like these conditions. She is now being trained by Richard Pringeur who is doing a great job with her.
Looking at the entries for Southwell we are definitely taking Popaway to Andoversford tomorrow with Jess, Dancer and Budge and we are hoping for some sunshine....
