What a beautiful day! Thomasina Spilman the horse chiropractor was coming this morning so we wanted to get all the horses out before she arrived. Red and Dream went first lot. Red had her tongue tie on again as we were going up the gallops. We went up three times and they both worked hard but Red worked better than Dream this time. The gallops have dried out and don't seem to be so 'bouncy'. It is like galloping on very soft sand and rather hard work. Red made a very slight noise the third time up but it didn't seem to affect her performance. I still cannot get Red's HR up - her max was 107 bpm and Dream's was 197 bpm, although Dream's recovery rate was good, she went down to 92 bpm after 3 mins and Red was 87 bpm, although Dream really blew and was still puffing even when we got home. It's 'sod's law' as I have entered Dream for Welbeck next weekend as she was going the best and now it is too late to change the entries, Red has suddenly improved. Dove and Frog went out for a fast hack second lot and this time Dove felt really fit (max 102 bpm) and Frog felt tired (max 167 bpm) Frog is now going to have a little holiday as she has done a lot considering she hasn't long been broken in. I couldn't enter Dove as there isn't a suitable race for her until the 29th at the Oakley where both her and Red will make their seasonal debut.
