Just a few photos of our couple of days in the Cotswolds. On my birthday (April 30th) We stayed at a place called Washbourne Court which was in the village of Lower Slaughter. It was beautiful. The next day we walked from there to Bourton-on-the-Water where because it was May Day the Morris dancers were out in force. The funniest thing was watching Doug's face who (understandably) could not believe that fully grown men could wear bells tied around their legs and jig about tapping sticks with each other and waving hankies about.
At lunchtime we drove to Stratford -Upon- Avon and had lunch by the river. We then went on to a stud nearby to have a look at Midnight Legend and Passing Glance. Velvet Skye is about to foal and we wanted to find another stallion for her and we also want to choose one for Dove's next season which may come a little later now that she has decided to start her races. Midnight Legend is already booked up for this season as he is very much 'in vogue' at the moment but we actually really liked Passing Glance who was much better natured and his first crop (which are just rising three) are looking very promising with winners already on the flat
