We have just got back from Wales - it was a great week and we met so many wonderful people plus old friends. REALLY good fun and not too bad financially either, better than last year which is really good considering the present financial climate. The weather was pretty awful with torrential rain on the Tuesday and part of Wednesday. We had the double bed in the trailer and luckily enough nothing leaked. Having not done a show since September we had forgotten what hard work it is. The public are on the showground at 8 am and don't leave until at least 8 pm. It's a very long day but we have it easy compared to most of the other trade stand holders who are on the circuit ten months of the year. I just don't know how they do it. There is a real camaraderie between them all which probably helps, but there aren't many people who work as hard as them. The show finished on Thursday, most of them packed up at 7 pm and went on to the CLA Game fair which is at least 4 hours away, put their stand up in the early hours of the morning, and are open for business today. They probably pace themselves a little better than we do as we very much enjoyed the party atmosphere in the evenings and didn't get back until the early hours so we don't expect any sympathy for feeling pretty shattered now !
