Kauto Star's historic win of the King George V Chase at Kempton on Boxing Day.
We were lucky enough to see this horse win his fourth consecutive win at Kempton - no other horse has ever done this. He is the best and highest rated chaser to have been around for 48 years. It was brilliant racing all day, another horse called Long Run, a four year old owned by the Whaley-Cohens also took our eye as he was a very impressive winner of the previous race but the highlight was definitely watching Kauto Star thrash the high class opposition with ultimate ease. A supreme athlete and a pleasure to watch. It was out first visit to Kempton and we loved it - the viewing was great and we could get really close to the horses in the paddock. We will be returning next year to see Kauto win the King George for the fifth time.
