Fancy dress in the mountains

We are back! Having had a brilliant time skiing. This is the third year we have been to the same resort, Val Cenis - and met up with the same group who we met through a couple. Andy and Nikki who we met while on holiday in the Maldives. They have become really good friends and it was fantastic to catch up with them and the rest of the group.

Every year it is tradition to celebrate who ever's 'big' birthday happened in the preceding year - this happened to be mine. Last year it was Andy's big birthday and because he is a chef, we all dressed up in silly aprons. Nikki told me not to worry this year as the group had expanded somewhat and I was at a loss as what to do. Unbeknown to me Nikki and Les had organised blow up horses with jockeys on board - It was a huge surprise to walk into the bar and be confronted with 20 ridiculous looking horses and jockeys with little stubby legs - Hilarious.... I was really touched that they should have gone to so much trouble. They are a truly great bunch of people and we have never laughed so much as we have in the last four days. A great therapy and really good skiing as well.
