FIRST SWALLOW - I forgot to mention that yesterday I saw the first swallows of the season - they are about two weeks earlier than usual. I never fail to be amazed that this diminutive bird flies all the way back from South Africa to the same nesting place each year. Nature is a wonderful thing.
