The heat wave has ended and I now have no excuse not to spend the day in the office. It reached 30 degrees yesterday, which probably doesn't sound much if you live in Australia but for us soft Poms it was hot. I had some lovely swims in the river and caught up with some gardening but now it's time to do some work...
We didn't run Dream on Sunday as she doesn't like the heat and it was a long journey to the course. We enjoyed watching the racing as spectators and definitely made the right decision as a lot of horses finished lame, although they did a marvelous job watering the course, it is never the same as natural rain water as it can be patchy. Hopefully we will get some rain in the next week and will run Dream on the 5th June at our local track, with Red and Dove running the following day at Worcester.
