The weather has been absolutely beautiful this last week and I have spent as little time in the office as possible to make the most of it - hence the lack of updates!
The races were postponed last week because the ground was too hard as their watering facility had broken down, we may run Dream at Garthorpe on Sunday, but not if it is too firm.
This is such a lovely time of year, and I am enjoying catching up with the gardening and other outside jobs. We have some friends coming around early this evening for drinks and nibbles - it is quite poignant as one of which is George, a very good farming friend, who was diagnosed with cancer in the New Year and up until now hasn't felt up to going out anywhere. He has just had his second bout of chemo and is feeling much more positive and we were delighted when he accepted our invitation.
Red and Dove are both working really well and we have decided to run them under rules - there is a race for both of them at Worcester on June 6th - although Dove may get balloted out, so we will hedge our bets and enter her for Whitfield point to point as well which is now rescheduled for the 5th June.
It's so hot in the office - I'm back out to do some more gardening
