The week-end in Pembrokeshire was absolutely brilliant. The farm visits are always fascinating but it is the people that really count. There was sixteen of us this year - a few couldn't make it because of other commitments but the rest of us got on really well - It is difficult not to be inspired when you are mixing with such incredible people who all have great business acumen but also a huge zest for life. Alan and Anne Beckett were on great form and if we can be half as active as them at their age we wont be complaining.
In between the farm visits we had a speed boat trip around Ramsey Island. Fantastic bird life and wonderful scenery. I haven't seen the sea for ages and it was just what I needed.
Having been 'inspired' by the week-end I was just working out some press releases to try and take Velvet Energy onto the next level when the phone kept on interrupting me. Apparently, the Daily Mail have featured deer velvet in their health section today, and have printed Velvet Energy's full details - fantastic free advertising, and also just what we needed as it is so difficult to advertise the product when you are restricted by what you can say, as you are not allowed to make any medical claims unless it has been passed by the UK medical board. Impossibly expensive and consequently we had hit a bit of a flat spot.
As I have been in the office all day long I am dying to get out into the garden and to walk the dogs - signing off.
