Cloud - who is STAYING WITH US!!!

Well - as I said, I am rubbish at selling horses and we have now decided not to take them to Doncaster after all - I can partly blame Doug, as he said that he would be very sorry to see them go and that we wouldn't be offered much for them as they are only three and right at the beginning of the sale when there wouldn't be anyone around - they have shown so much promise that it would be really sad to give them away especially as Dove will be going to the stallion this season and Red will probably be sold to do a different job, so rightly or wrongly, we have now got two more horses to train this year (yippee!)

We have had a very busy week-end - went to a fundraising do on Friday nearby and all the local farmers were there (about 300 people in total) - Jay came with us and we met for a drink at Lucy's first - it was good for Jay as Lucy knows all the 'young one's' so she didn't have to stay with us wrinklies. It was such fun and the time just whizzed along, before we knew it, it was gone three o'clock and we got back just as Fred was crowing. However, we were supposed to be going to Johnny Bailey's and Dickie Barrett's birthday party the following night (a 21st and 35th) and rather wimped out when we got the offer of a bar snack with Dave and Di Sheppard - we can't do two big nights on the trot anymore, poor old things that we are....and it was great to catch up with them both.
