We went cubbing yesterday. It was Jakes first day out with Doug and they got on famously. It was a beautiful morning and we stayed out about three hours. We were invited in to the hosts for breakfast (Simon and Angela Derbyshire) but Jake had a panic attack in the trailer and went nuts, so we had to drive him and Dream back. Hopefully the more we hunt him the calmer he will become.
We have been really busy with the other horses lately. Amy and Will have been coming in to help. We have nine horses in work at the moment with another two due to arrive on Tuesday. The nine in work are - Dream, Red, Dove, Harry, Jake, Frog, Doris, Cloud and Dolly. The two arriving on Tuesday are very exciting prospects and I'm not going to risk our luck by saying who they are until they actually arrive as you can never be sure of anything until their heads are actually looking over the stable door! Eeyore and Spider will also be coming into boot camp for as long as it takes to get them squared up (in Spiders case that could be a very long time..) After a few weeks the youngsters (apart from Doris) will then go back out into the field until the Spring.
