My computer has been misbehaving and kept on crashing. Very frustrating as it lost a number of things I had been working on including my last posting. Anyway, I'm back now...
On Tuesday morning Laverty's owners, Darren, Colin and Stephen came to see how he was going. He looks a lot better than he did but there is still a bit to go - having said that he is working with huge enthusiasm (like his owners!) and we are quietly hopeful for him this season. Will popped him over the poles in the school and he jumped well. All the other horses are going well and they all had a big piece of work yesterday. The ground was frozen this morning and it was very slippery getting to the gallops so we just took out Frog, Leon and Jake around the round gallop three times. Leon is improving all the time and Frog went well. Jake was the same as ever..
It is supposed to snow in the next few days so we will try and work them all as much as possible tomorrow.
It looks as though we may be having another two additions to the horse family on Monday - Caroline Smail, who has been helping me with my PR work for Velvet Energy has a friend who wants two horses trained. We don't know much about them at the moment but they are home bred and I don't think they ran last season. I can't wait to sit on them and see what we've got!
