We have just got back from George's funeral. The church was packed out and there was a huge crowd outside. It was a beautiful service and very moving. It was so sad going back to the same marquee where three weeks ago George and Merrill were celebrating their daughters wedding and their own 40th wedding anniversary. The whole community had come out to support the family, it made you realise how lucky we are to live in an area with such a strong communal spirit.
This morning all horses were either schooled or went on the gallops. All went well except Leon has now decided to get an abscess in his other foot - these soft flatty horses need to toughen up!
