A busy day today - All the horses were ridden except for Red who's leg seems completely better now but we are still going easy with her. We schooled Leon and Dream over the hurdles with me on Dream and Will on Leon - they both jumped really well, although Leon could probably do with it being less soft - he is full of enthusiasm though which is great to see in a flat bred horse.
We had the dentist/vet in to take Doris's wolf teeth out as she is not accepting the bit and it became obvious that her teeth were hurting her. He also did Shade and Oaka who's teeth also badly needed doing. Shade and Oaka are both working really well now and we are getting close to running them - Oaka will be first on March 4th all being well.
The Estate have given us 70 lovely big trees to plant around the farm - Mr Allen owns a nursery and these trees hadn't been sold and badly need planting - they are between 10-20 ft high and are going to look fabulous when they leaf up this Spring - things were really hectic in the office so I had to work but Will, Doug and the two estate gardeners helped to plant them - Doug was driving the little digger to make the holes and Will was banging the supporting stakes in.
It rained all day today so I still haven't made up my mind about where (or if) Leon should go - it will be very soft at either track but Warwick will be more testing. Whitter whitter...
