Saturday 23rd July - Comongin
After a very long journey we eventually arrived at Doug's parents farm, Comongin . The reason why we made the trip was because it is going to auction on the 10th August, Doug still had a lot of his possessions there including some very nice guns, and Dougs parents needed help sorting out the cottage and making sure that everything was in order before the sale.
We arrived in the late afternoon and I couldn't believe how lovely it was - the cottage was by a massive lake which stretched for as far as the eye could see and the birdlife was amazing. The windows were filthy so we gave them a quick wash so that we could see out and then got ready to meet up with the farm manager, Mike and his wife Sally in the main house for the evening meal. We left just as a massive flock of Galah's were roosting in the tree by the cottage
