We had a great day at Cheltenham yesterday, and are hoping to go again tomorrow. This morning we went hunting, I was on Dream and Doug was on Jake - the scent was really good and we had a great run with lots of jumping which both horses thoroughly enjoyed. This was particularly pleasing for Jake as he used to be a bit of a wimp over cross country fences but a couple of big hedges to begin with got his courage up and he was awesome. Dream (even with her one eye) was a legend and gave him a great lead.
We managed to get back in time to watch the Paddy Power Gold cup, which was won by Great Endeavour, ridden by Timmy Murphy and trained by David Pipe. It was a really gutsy performance and so good for Timmy Murphy who hasn't had it easy lately and very nearly hung up his boots for this season - he will be very glad that he changed his mind.
