We went to Towcester races today after doing the horses - it was a lovely sunny day when we left but by the fifth race the fog had rolled in and it was a proper 'pea souper'. They had to abandon the race as it was deemed to be too dangerous to jump fences that were difficult to see. Yes, I suppose I can see their point...
We have got permission to take some horses for a race course gallop there early tomorrow morning, so we are taking the horses that are going to run first - Doris, Frog, Moonie and Aitch. The ground is safe enough and it will be good for the horses to do some proper work on grass before their races.

- Pauline has been race riding her own horses in point to points for 15 years and is now training with Doug. Pauline has recently got her trainers permit. They are both passionate about National Hunt racing and achieving maximum potential from their horses in the best possible way. This is why ‘Equine Fitness’ is a very exciting new business for them. In 2006 Doug eventually plucked up the courage (it only took 7 years!) to propose to Pauline whilst they were on holiday in the Maldives and they married in the Lake District in June 2007.
