Another photo of our stable star, Jake, who went hunting yesterday, as did Leon, Oaka, Jess, Shade and Paddy - the meet was at our next door neighbours, the Thames, and there must have been over 100 people out. There was lots of jumping and really good fun, the horses all loved it. Mike Mitchell was on Leon and got a great tune out of him, leaping everything in sight, Will was on Jess, Laura on Shade, I was on Oaka, Amy on Paddy and Doug on Jake - on the way home we stopped at the Royal oak at Eydon for a couple of Christmas drinks and then hacked across the bridleway home. After we had done the horses and fetched the others in we went for a hunt tea at the Thames - The hospitality was fantastic - All the local people were there, even those that don't hunt - a very good public relations exercise and very kind of the Thames to go to so much trouble. They really do a massive amount for the hunt and are incredibly generous and energetic people

Today, we worked the horses and then I knuckled down to do my Christmas cards - I seem to get later and more disorganised every year. Christmas shopping tomorrow ....
