Appleaday

We are very lucky to have another new recruit - He is called 'Appleaday' and has been a fantastic servant for Paul Webber for the last seven years, nearly always finishing in the frame and jumping around the grade one tracks with ease. Because he was always just being pipped by very good horses he has got a high handicap which has made it difficult for him to win so David Allen, his owner, and our landlord decided that it would be kinder for him to go pointing and have some fun in his latter years. He is a lovely big horse and very genuine and I'm sure he will love a bit of hunting, lots of fuss and a different routine. A very exciting horse to have in the yard.

We are off to Stratford with friends this afternoon for a meal and to watch the racing so I had better get on with some work...
