Well it looks as though Barbury is definitely on. A very nervous Christopher is riding Definite Dawn in the Novice riders race - there are twenty entries, so it could be rather like the charge of the Light Brigade. I'm sure he will be fine as DD is a great jumper and should look after him (fingers crossed)
Dancer is in the Intermediate which is a massive step up as she is a restricted horse, but as there isn't a restricted race we have no choice. She needs the run and it is a bit of a fact finding mission as it is her first run for us and she has only run in bottomless ground in Ireland.
We schooled some of the youngsters on Friday - the ground was only just good enough as there was still some frost in it so they didn't do too much , but the ones to note were Dolly (Velvet Royale) and Ponty who were both electric over the fences. It was Eeyore's and Goody's first time up the hurdles and Goody jumped them beautifully - she will have no problem jumping the big fences and Eeyore was very green but got the hang of it fairly quickly. We will be doing the same with Ben and Button next week when hopefully the ground will be better.
