We have had a busy week-end. Last night we went to the Midlands Award dinner and dance. We would probably have gone anyway but we particularly went to see Popaway win the top mares award and pick up her trophy. It was lovely for the Rob, Roy, Henry and John partnership, four great owners who deserve to do well with her. She is a cracking mare and we are looking forward to seeing what she can do next season, I rode her yesterday and she felt amazing. Photos of the awards ceremony are on this link -http://www.graftonwood.co.uk/pages/galleries/point-to-point/point-to-point-201213/midlands-area-awards-2013.php?gall_id=1213

The dinner and dance was great fun and needless to say we felt somewhat jaded this morning but had to recover quickly as we were invited to Ben Case's open day which is always worth going to for the fabulous lunch! We did see a few horses too and were most impressed with the quality. He has got some serious fire power this season and should do really well.

It was a beautiful day and after lunch I took the dogs for a walk and enjoyed the last of the sunshine before the autumn sets in.
