A perfect day to be tucked up inside by a roaring fire eating a Sunday roast. I had bought Henry a duplo farm set which he loved and it kept him nicely occupied and little Jessica was as good as gold.
The rain was lashing outside and I have to say I was more than happy not to be racing today.
We have been in a dilemma about where to enter Jake (Doctor Kingsley) as we had intended to enter him for a couple of hunter chase for next week but if this rain continues then the ground is likely to be heavy which he isn't too keen on, so we are also going to enter him for North Carlton where the ground will be good to soft. I'm not convinced that the track will suit him as it is a bit flat, but he has won at Paxford, which is also pretty flat and as it is a 6 min 50 (average) track it is still quite a test of stamina. We will also enter him for the hunter chases at Wetherby and Musselburgh and see what the weather does.
