We went to the most beautiful place on Saturday. It was the wedding of Martin and Joanne, Martin is David Allen's son and he farms the estate in Rutland.
The wedding location was at Leighfield Lodge in Rutland and it absolutely blew me away. It was stunning. The magnificent house was 16th century and surrounded by lakes and fabulous gardens. I couldn't believe the beauty and the peace of it. I thought Edgcote was special and this was equally so.
Yesterday we did our yearly lunch at Jenny Pidgeons, which is always a very jolly affair and wonderful to catch up with the point to point crowd. Lunch outside in her pretty garden and then we all piled in to watch the very exciting Wimbledon final. What a match! Well done to Novak Djokovic, who played like a demon and showed incredible inner strength when it looked as though Federer was going to get the better of him in the fifth set.

Today we went to Hampshire looking for another shepherd hut. We now have Stable Cottage up and running and it would appear that another hut near the cottage would be very useful as an overflow, as we seem to be getting quite a lot of bookings. The other hut has been really busy lately as well which keeps me out of mischief during the quiet time while I'm not so involved with horses. It also pays much better than training horses, but no where near as enjoyable!
