It was also a great day yesterday for our jockey, Peter Mann as he had a winner on a first time out maiden trained by Julie Marles.
Really great for both of them to get a result so early on in the season. Well done!
Today there was a bitterly cold wind and we were rather short staffed but we still managed to get all the horses out apart from Goody and Ponty who are recovering nicely from their wind operations and Chubby who is also recovering well from her 'upside down experience' but needs a little longer on the horse walker. They will all be ridden out again before the end of the week.
I was thinking of hunting Dancer tomorrow as the Bicester are meeting fairly close but unfortunately I have just had a phone call from the secretary to say that the hounds are suffering from kennel cough and won't be going out after all.
