Yesterday the ground was frozen solid. We were keen to give Popaway and Glory Hunter a race course gallop and we were hoping  to do that on the grass gallop here but as it was frozen we put them and Dancer on the lorry and took them to Lambourn. Popaway and Murphy worked exceptionally well and it was good for both of them to go somewhere different in the lorry but not have the stress of a race.
We haven't quite decided yet whether we are running Popaway in the mares race or the Mens open but it is more likely to be the mares race even though she will have to carry an 8lbs penalty. We will decide for sure on the day.
