Fabulous racing at the Oakley. The sun was shining and the crowd was huge We took three horses, Popaway, We Never Give Up and Glory Hunter and we had two fourths and one pull up with Glory Hunter. We were disappointed with Popaway who is clearly still not right, even though she won best turned out (well done Holly!) but we were pleased with Jess, who normally wouldn't go a yard on a left handed track and still needs the run as she is still rather large, and Toby gave Glory Hunter the most perfect confidence giving ride after his fall at Higham. Just what we wanted.
We still had a great gathering around the lorry and were the last to leave, having made sure that the horses were all happy with their haynets. We are very lucky to have such lovely owners and as long as the horses come home safely we are able to celebrate and enjoy each others company. That is what pointing is all about.
