We took Dr K, Rock and Bryn for a Lambourn gallop yesterday and the Doctor did a brilliant piece of work. Fingers crossed he gets in on Friday at Cheltenham as Pete said he had never felt so good.
Doug was doing the 'trainer bit' and driving upsides us in the truck that the manager of Lambourn had lent him. He was trying to film the action at the same time and got so excited when he saw how well Jake was going that he didn't notice a big crater in the grass verge and went completely airborne at 35 mph crashing down, with everything flying out the back. We were all laughing so much that we nearly fell off. Luckily the truck was fine although Doug's head was a bit sore where he hit it on the roof!
We're not going to Cheltenham today as too much to do but we will definitely be settling down in front of the TV to watch the action later on
El is desperate to ride in a point to point but the minimum age is sixteen. However, her sixteenth birthday is on the same day as the Grafton point to point so all being well she will have a 'Birthday Ride'.
