All three horses back in the lorry safe and sound. Jess was running a great race leading the field until three from home when she made a mistake at the fence and three horses came by. Disapointingly she didn't battle back but rather sulked and Toby pulled her up just before the last even though she wasn't at all tired. We might try her in blinkers next time as she is rather lazy. Chubby was most impressive on her debut, she jumped beautifully and kept with the rest of the field until two from home coming fourth without being pushed at all. Pete did a great job of schooling her around and giving her confidence. She seemed to love the experience and will be able to be much more competitive next time.  Glory Hunter also came fourth. We were delighted with that as he has had a much interrupted preparation with various niggles and it was a really hot race being the equal fastest time of the day. He also got very badly hampered at the open ditch just when he was making his challenge which knocked him back. Most importantly he didn't sweat up before and took everything in his stride so he is growing up and not worrying so much.
The girls did a great job preparing the horses and Holly has now won NINETEEN best turned out prizes, beating our previous record set by Laura, which was eighteen. She is now the new BTO Queen. Well done Holly
We have just got the horses off the lorry and Jess has coughed up a pile of mucus and blood. so That would explain her poor run. She has obviously still got the back end of the virus that Popaway and a few of the others have had.
