Sea Rock won!! He made slightly hard work of it as every time he got to the front he came off the bridle. He is totally lacking in self confidence and he just didn't know what to do when he was in the lead. This win was exactly what he needed to boost his self belief and he was a very happy bunny this morning
Exclusive Rights (Scruffy) was well in contention when she got hampered just before the third fence from home which unbalanced her and she fell. Thankfully she got straight up and continued with no ill effects. She was very impressive and had left Dancer and Ponty for dead. Ponty pulled up and Dancer plugged on to be 5th or 6th.
Holly won best turned out with Scruffy (Exclusive Rights) and Sea Rock. Her tally for the season now stands at 25!!
It was a fabulous day's racing though slightly marred by Tom Ellis falling and breaking his leg in three places. He is due to get married in six weeks time so the crutches might spoil the wedding photos somewhat.
The other jockeys all went to see him in Banbury hospital after racing before joining us in the Carpenter Arms for an evening of 'merriment and laughter' I am feeling somewhat shabby this morning but I think the rest of the team are feeling even worse as they carried on the party at Sam's until the very early hours...
