We are all set for this evening with Popaway going to Southwell in the Hunters Chase. As usual she feels really well but we won't know until she has raced whether she has completely shaken off the cough that she had after Leicester. She ended up having to have a full course of antibiotics which has just taken the shine off her a bit although you wouldn't know it when she bolts up the gallops!
Big Dug (Val D'Auberge) is still bandaged up and we wont know how bad his tendon is until the end of the week when we take the bandage off. He is really happy and in no pain so fingers crossed he will be fine to make a lovely hack or hunter later on. He didn't much like racing anyway, bless him!
The other three have come out of the race really well, in particular Chubby (Ask Away) who is very bright and extremely pleased with herself.
