Cloud ran a cracking race bearing in mind she was caught up in the carnage at the start of the race and got left behind, she then lost a front shoe at the first bend and then nearly got taken out completely by two loose horses. Despite all this she ran on well and was lying fifth when Nick thought it was time to pull up two fences from home, he did but then Cloud was so furious she dropped him in front of the crowd. She is such a character and in her mind she is very happy with herself as she got the last laugh.
It was really fast and furious racing though with her race being less than six minutes which is unheard of for a maiden.
Most importantly, of course is the fact that she won best turned out, so well done to Holly, who has been washing her tail since Monday as it was a rather unattractive dirty yellow colour. A very good start in her bid to beat last seasons record of 28.
We are now on our way back with the champers bottle open and everyone (Amy, Holly and Christina) in very high spirits having enjoyed the first point to point of the season.
