A great day at the races today in that the sun shone and it was a fabulous friendly atmosphere with lots of picnics happening. We didn't run King of Angels as he had broken out in a nasty rash which would indicate he is allergic to the oil seed rape pollen - Having looked at the internet, if they get the rash they are almost certain to have inflamed airways as well, added to that it was a highly competitive race which he doesn't need having run for the last two weeks on the bounce. Cloud was in a sixteen runner maiden - She looked absolutely tiny in the paddock compared to the great big geldings she was up against but bless her cotton socks, her and El came storming home to finish 5th, and so close to getting fourth. She has got the biggest heart and tries so very hard. I just love her courage and admire her spirit.One day her time will come....
