We are all very excited (and nervous) about tomorrow's racing at Stratford. Exclusive Rights (Scruffy) and Popaway are both in fine form. If we get a nice clear round from Scruffy we will be over the moon and Popaway should run a competitive race if the ground stays good and we don't get too much rain. We are also going to the PPOA lunch which is always great fun and Nicky Henderson is the guest speaker, which should be interesting. Most of Team Harkin are coming to enjoy the afternoon and evening and enjoy the proceeds of the drop pot.... The most important thing to all of us is that both horses come home safe and sound.

- Pauline has been race riding her own horses in point to points for 15 years and is now training with Doug. Pauline has recently got her trainers permit. They are both passionate about National Hunt racing and achieving maximum potential from their horses in the best possible way. This is why ‘Equine Fitness’ is a very exciting new business for them. In 2006 Doug eventually plucked up the courage (it only took 7 years!) to propose to Pauline whilst they were on holiday in the Maldives and they married in the Lake District in June 2007.
